Furthering Your Rapid Weight Loss Efforts
When winter rolls around it is easy to put weight on as eating increases while exercise decreases. In order to keep your body trim over winter, or lose a few pounds ready for summer, try these tips to keep you at your physical best.
Water intake
Increase your water intake. Water helps you feel full and flush your body of toxins. Drinking green tea is also a good way to keep your water intake up. Avoid sugary drinks. Decrease your fat intake. Being aware of how much fat is in your food is a good start. Try to swap fatty food with lighter options.
Exercise
The most important piece of advice is to exercise for thirty minutes every day. If you don’t burn the calories you ingest it will be stored as fat on your body. Find any reason to keep busy and moving. Another good tip is to try not to eat for two hours before going to bed. The reason for this is simple, once you are lying down it is difficult to burn the calories.
Cleansing
Cleansing is an important part of weight loss. When your body is functioning at its peak it is more effective at burning calories. Our insides are laden with all sorts of toxins that can clog our systems. The acai berry has more antioxidants than any other food in the world that we know of, so it is great product to help you detox. Lowering your intake of processed foods, and increasing fruits and vegetables is the easiest way of changing your diet to help your body detoxify.
Meal Portions
Try to have smaller meals and more of them, rather than having three huge meals a day. It is easier for your body to handle and burn off. The less food is in front of us, the less we eat, so try serving smaller portions of food. It can take up to twenty minutes for our minds to register that we are full, so try eating slower to give your mind a chance to keep up with your body. Replace all white foods, like bread, sugar, rice and flour, with their brown counterparts.
Breakfast
Breakfast cereal is preferable to eating bread in the morning as theoretically it contains less carbohydrates and more fibre. Be careful, however, that your cereal isn’t full of sugar, and it contains decent amounts of fibre. Juices are deceptively high in calories. Try to eat the wholefood option of fruit, rather than juice. This will also keep you fuller for longer
